As of January 2010, Toi Troutman is no longer affiliated with GEM Public Relations despite building its stellar reputation. Same great results and a name you can trust. Toi has spent many years in the industry both behind the scenes and in the forefront. While still deciding which she preferred, she began her PR career in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, by being fortunate enough to work for the family business while still attending vocational school. Appointed as Personal Assistant to Warner Brother's Recording Artist, the legendary Roger Troutman, she was resposible for scheduling interviews, appearances, writing releases, accompanying him on tours, shoots and appearances, etc. Toi took this time to hone her craft and upon arriving in Los Angeles, immediately began working with other artists and actors to get their buzzes going. Soon she was recruited by Ticketmaster's Fred Rosen to assist in the corporate legal division, responsible for over 40 billion dollars in acquisitions. When his new venture folded, Troutman decided to go it alone and devoted herself to the entertainment industry full time. She has developed many strategic marketing programs and local artist showcase events throughout her career and is well-respected in the industry. Having many talents, Toi has performed as a vocalist on stage and in studio sessions (an accomplished session singer and producer) and performed as an executive for an independent record label project. She has also appeared in videos, soap operas, and several independent features and continues to perform in all capacities quite effectively while going all out for her clients. Troutman is quickly gaining a reputation as a hard working go-getter who doesn't accept no for an answer. Toi Troutman has worked with many major recording and film artists, writers, directors and producers, and has assisted in securing major funding and deals for various film and recording projects and had her works printed in several magazines and newspapers, including the Washington Post. She majored in Communication Studies with a minor in Business Administration. |
